Keeping The Faith
By Mrs. Jacqueline Hampton Jones
If you live long enough, life will remind you just how important it is to keep your faith in Jesus Christ active in every season, and to do so in every aspect of life as we make big and small decisions daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly. Without faith, we are headed for disaster in navigating life with its uncertainties. Therefore, we must be spiritually armed in readiness to face challenges knowing that we are more than conquerors on the battlefield for the Lord. Jesus is rooting for us to succeed according to his perfect word and will!
Faith embodies surrendering our will to conform with the will of Christ. Therefore, we must read and study the word of God to know what the Lord says about a matter, and how faith factors into our life’s journey. Given the free will to make choices without coercion to do either good or bad is what we are all presented with. As part of the body of Christ, hopefully, our choice will always be to seek the Lord in all things and not deceive ourselves that our way will ever be better than God’s will for us. Also, we must be prayer warriors for ourselves as well as for others. Always, remember how good the Lord has been to you and what he has delivered and healed you from, and give him thanks for blessings known and unknown.
Life demands that our faith be exercised in order to build and strengthen our relationship with God so that when we look back in reflection over the course of our lives, we will see the footprints of God’s plan unfolding on our behalf arming us for what happens next on this journey. We will be a living testament to what God has done for us.
1 Peter 1:6,7 KJV “ Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:”
Please don’t lose focus, and do all things to bring glory to God for he’s not through with yet
Think on it!
