Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
Hebrews 4:16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
Psalm 55:22 Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.
Revelation 3:10 Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come on the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth.
No one will argue that we are living in turbulent times. Because there are troubles in this world filled with troubled people, churches, economy, politics, businesses, and so much more that our heads are spinning. We are challenged daily as followers that some suffer from anxiety in uncertain times. Satan is roaring like a lion seeking to steal, kill, and devour God’s people. However, Jesus is our hope and assures us that we can cast every care on him, and he will give us his grace to endure what we must as he shelters us from the storm.
Because we live in a fallen world, he also promises to never leave us or forsake us and to sustain us in trying times. Deeply ensconced in a pandemic, the word of God assures us that as the world is tested, our Lord keeps and sustains us through whatever comes. So, how will we protect and guard our hearts, mind, and soul, live in unity and peace within this world, and champion our inner peace with so much turmoil going on externally and internally? I recommend Jesus and reliance on his Way, his Truth, and his Life! Solace and comfort are found in the word of God where we are reminded that God is aware of what’s happening in our lives and assures us of this: “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee…” (Isaiah 26:3)
Furthermore, “Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any praise, think on these things.” (Philippians 4: 6-8) When we find ourselves in the valley, remember and be comforted by the beautiful truths in God’s word that will comfort and strengthen us when life overwhelms us with strife and spiritual discord. God cares and sees us, so keep the faith.
Think on it!
